SHOWRUNNER - Oh wait look, someone’s there. Hrmmm Hrmm… (Click anywhere to see the next line)
SHOWRUNNER - Hello stranger! Nice to meet you! My name is Antoine, but this you may already know. And my little cutie friend here is name Socrate!
SHOWRUNNER - Come here Socrate, don’t be shy!
DOG - WOOF WOOF!
SHOWRUNNER - Awwwww look how cute he is.
DOG - WOOF, WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!
SHOWRUNNER - Yeah ok, that’s enough barking for today, right now I have to take care of my guest here.
SHOWRUNNER - You may wondering what’s happening.
SHOWRUNNER - This is a visual novel. What you’ll witness here is the story of how I’ve ended up here, in this page, on this website.
SHOWRUNNER - I have a lot of powers. Look, I can change the background. Poufff.
SHOWRUNNER - Now I’ll make the music starting… Alright, all set! See ya in 5 fella.
BABY ANTOINE - Gou-Gou Ga-Ga *Baby sounds*
SHOWRUNNER - Wait what ? This is way too early in his life, let’s fast forward a little bit.
NARRATOR - Everything started a long time ago...
NARRATOR - Antoine was a peaceful kid in school. But very often, his mind was somewhere else.
TEACHER - B plus A…
CLASS - BA!
TEACHER - T plus A…
CLASS (without Antoine) - TA!
NARRATOR - He was very easily bored in school. While everyone saw just letters, he saw beyond that.
NARRATOR - He saw drawings, he saw a way to draw the letters.
KID ANTOINE - If I join an « u » with a « n », I could make a connection between them so I speed up my writing skills… Damn I’m so smart.
SHOWRUNNER - Not sure if Antoine knew the word « damn » at that age… But ok let’s go with that.
NARRATOR - When he was looking at books, he was not interesting of the stories, but at the way paper were made.
NARRATOR - When he was looking at letters, he saw shapes and not letters.
SHOWRUNNER - Yeah but it’s because he still didn’t knew how to read at that time…
NARRATOR - When he was playing at video games… Well he was just playing at video games, not everything has to be meaningful. But he was always thinking…
KID ANTOINE - Could this be my life? Could I became…
KID ANTOINE - An inventor?
NARRATOR - Well right now Antoine still don’t know that « inventor » was not a proper job. What he really wanted to became deep down was…
NARRATOR - A Designer.
NARRATOR - Then he wanted to be a cop, a gamer, an historian (?), Son Goku (not a job), a son for his mother (still not a job, but cute), and many many different things. And then he got back to design.
NARRATOR - To achieve his goal, he started to draw, as you can see with the terrible drawings above me. But he wasn’t good at it.
SHOWRUNNER - …And still isn’t, I mean, look at me, look at how he drew me. That’s terrible.
NARRATOR - Wow stop complaining for everything. Just be happy that you’re here. Anyway…
NARRATOR - To learn drawing, he started an art school: ESAD of Reims.
NARRATOR - New city, new friends, new beginnings. He always had one idea in mind, study Graphic Design. He learned and trained a lot, and a lot, and a lot. His techniques and skills got way better.
NARRATOR - But what he didn’t get better at was drawing. He was even afraid of it. So he forgot about it for a while.
NARRATOR - After getting his bachelor degree, he wanted something new, he wanted something else. His choice was made: Brussels
NARRATOR - There, he decided to specialize even deeper into graphic design. To do so, he started studying at La Cambre.
NARRATOR - New city, new friends, new beginnings.
NARRATOR - He worked on improving his way of thinking about design — how he approaches, imagines, and sees a project as a whole.
NARRATOR - But also what he learned was how to work in a bar, drink beer for free with his friends… well basically having fun with no consequences the next day. If you ask him about that time, he would say…
ANTOINE - Damn that was hell of a time…
SHOWRUNNER - Yeah okay now I can believe that he knew the word « Damn », after all this whole visual novel is not complete nonsense…
NARRATOR - Would you. PLEASE. Just once time. SHUT YOUR MOUSE. Please excuse me, sometimes I can really get on my nerves…
SHOWRUNNER - Yeah apparently…
NARRATOR - *************
ANTOINE - GUYS, PLEASE! Can we keep the story on going? Our friend here must have better things to do than hearing you fighting.
PRESENTATEUR ANTOINE, NARRATOR, ANTOINE - Hrmmm Hrmm…
NARRATOR - Where was I… Yes, the beers in Brussels. Well let’s say that his next destination is also related to beer…
NARRATOR - To complete his training and finally become a master in his art, Antoine decided to push further his learning with an internship in Munich with ÉTÉ Studio.
NARRATOR - There he met the people who will later on became his close colleagues, with whom he still works with.
ANTOINE - Alexis, So-Hyun and Jan
NARRATOR - They decided to open a new office in Paris, so he went back to Paris and continued working with them there, alongside his freelance activity.
NARRATOR - What will the future be ? I don’t know, he doesn’t also.
NARRATOR - But one thing I can tell you is: the story isn’t finished yet. It now comes to an end. But before that, I’ll let the presentateur speak one last time.
SHOWRUNNER - Thank you to the narrator, and thank you to all the characters who shaped this story. Thank you to Antoine for allowing us to exist. I’ll let him have the final word. Antoine, it’s yours.
ANTOINE - Thank you, reader, for making it to the end of this visual novel. I know it’s not a format you use to see, but I had a lot of fun making it. Ciao Bye Bye.
ANTOINE - Antoine out.
